Sherif Selim
After obtaining his Bachelor Degree in Tourism & Hotel Management, in 1992, Sherif began his career in tourism working with Wagon-Lit. He later moved to Emirates Airlines, where he spent 10 years in a learning and development role.
Sherif then moved to Etihad Airways where he successfully set up, established and led its Training Academy, during the first 4 years of the airline’s operation. In 2007, Sherif joined JOBMASTER Group as a Managing Consultant, establishing its presence in the UAE. In this role Sherif provided consultancy services in Human Resource Management, with projects such as establishing HR systems for organizations, one such example was for 29 companies of Al Jaber Group, the largest in the UAE, with 55,000 employees. He also administered assessment centers in a number of multinationals in the region (including Philips, Saudi Telecom Company, SAAB, Schindler, Vodafone and Azadeya).
Today, Sherif is the Execution Regional Practice Leader with FranklinCovey Middle East, advising executives and organizations on implementing the 4 Disciplines of Execution (4DX) methodology; to help them execute their strategies and achieve business results in the mid of operational challenges. Some of the organizations he worked with in this capacity include Saudi Electricity Company, Emrill, Ecolab and Accor Group, among others.
His background and experience in Strategy Execution, Human Resources Management, Leadership Development, Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, Project Management and Entrepreneurship, enables Sherif to provide world-class consultancy services to an ever-changing audience.
Sherif has worked at all levels in many industries (including – but not limited to – oil & gas, telecom, banking, retail, defense, investment; as well as government and non-for-profit organizations).
In addition to his qualification in Training and Development from City & Guilds International (UK), Sherif holds a number of discipline-specific qualifications from international organizations.
Living in the cosmopolitan city of Dubai since 1994 and having a dual culture – Egyptian and French – means that Sherif is fluent in 3 languages (Arabic, French and English) and has a heightened cultural awareness, enabling him to work effectively and sensitively with professionals from all backgrounds.
